One of the best Docs that I have ever seen is out of Cuba and is aptly named Son’s of Cuba. In short, it’s about an academy of Boxers that train since adolescence to become title fighters for their country.
Never before have I seen a movie in which I wanted a character to succeed so badly that I myself felt as if I had something personally invested in the outcome of the story.
This movie also has one of the most satisfying ending that I have ever seen, almost to the point that it feels scripted through how potent and poignant the story is.
Overall there is something highly relate-able to each of the characters, even the antagonists from a rival gym, and by the end you can expect to feel very deeply for the personal goals and expectations of just about everyone presented on screen.
